All bets are on

Will the 58,797 wings sold record stand in 2026 after a historic Super Bowl?

January 21 2026

Just weeks away from the biggest sporting event of the year, one thing is certain: the Super Bowl and La Cage are a perfect match. 2024 set the bar high, and 2025 completely blew it out of the water. And while some traditions never change, the numbers just keep climbing.

A look back at a 2025 edition that got the crowd roaring… and the kitchens fired up.

Chicken wings: still on top 🏆

No surprise here, chicken wings once again stole the show. A total of 58,797 wings were served across La Cage restaurants throughout the province on February 9, 2025.

And when it comes to flavor, the verdict is unanimous: Buffalo remains the undisputed champion, with 34,649 wings sold. A number that proves year after year that in Québec, when you talk wings, you’re talking Buffalo.

Beer: inseparable from the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl and beer form a duo as iconic as football and Sunday night.

Across all brands and formats, 917 metric cases were sold this year, representing 21,997 bottles of 341 ml. That’s over 7,500 litres of beer enjoyed during the game.

  • Stella Artois
  • Budweiser
  • Michelob Ultra
  • Kronenbourg

Bud Light took the top spot with 124 metric cases sold, cementing its status as the fan favourite at La Cage.

The Blitz Burger: a safe bet

Once again, the Blitz Burger delivered a true MVP performance. 2,242 burgers were sold during the game. Lined up end to end, that’s 8,968 inches, which equals:

  • Just over two NFL football fields
  • Or just 25 yards fewer than the total yards gained by the Chiefs at Super Bowl LIX (275 yards)

A stat that’s as mouthwatering as it is impressive.
