Since September 4, LaCage Montréal Sports Brasserie has been welcoming sports fans on Kensington High Street, right in the heart of the British capital. For the occasion, we’ve reimagined the La Cage experience with a more refined concept, while holding on to everything that has always been part of our DNA: sports, a great atmosphere and the classics we all love.
Because you can cross the Atlantic without leaving your favourites behind: the popcorn and wings are definitely still here!
A Taste of Montréal in London
For our first London location, we wanted to bring a real piece of home with us. The name LaCage Montréal Sports Brasserie says it all: we’re proud of our Quebec roots, and we can’t wait to share them with Londoners.
On the menu, several La Cage favourites made the trip. Our wings are obviously part of the lineup, along with the Tous pour un, now served with an even more spectacular presentation.
But a new market also means discovering new traditions. So we’ve added a few British touches to the menu, including the Sunday Roast, as well as a breakfast offering for those who like their sports early. Really early.
In London, Sports Don’t Wait Until Nighttime
If there’s one thing we have in common with Londoners, it’s our passion for sports.
Soccer, Formula 1, cricket, tennis, hockey: in London, there’s always something on, and fans show up for it. So naturally, we needed a restaurant that could keep up.
With 210 seats across two floors, our new La Cage was designed so different groups of fans can enjoy their game in an atmosphere that feels just right. Different sections can even cheer on different teams at the same time.
And since some sporting events start first thing in the morning, we’re open for breakfast too. The Montréal Breakfast is ready, the screens are on. All that’s missing is the game.
Hockey Made the Trip Too
Of course, there was no way we were coming to London and leaving hockey behind.
With so many Canadians living in the British capital, we know there will always be fans looking for a place to catch their team. Whenever the schedule allows, hockey will have its place on our big screens too.
In fact, just a few hours after we arrived, someone was already asking if they could come watch the Ottawa Senators with us.
Safe to say, we’re in the right place.
London, and What’s Next?
This opening is a big milestone for La Cage. London is a new playing field for a concept we eventually want to take even further.
After Bordeaux and Aix-en-Provence, we’re continuing our European adventure in London, where two more restaurants are already in the works.
And our ambitions don’t stop across the Atlantic. This new concept also has us looking at the rest of Canada, including Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa.
And if you think we’re forgetting about Montréal, not a chance: this new La Cage concept is also expected to make its way to the city in 2027.
La Cage may be stepping onto a new playing field, but our passion for sports isn’t going anywhere.
We’re bringing our way of experiencing sports with us. And this is just the beginning.
